Overview: 

General Motors which is an American automobile manufacturer came up with the latest version of its sedan Chevrolet Sail for the Indian market. There are some cosmetic changes in exteriors providing a polish look and the fog lamps sourrounds are fitted with the chrome. In interiors, many essential changes have been made like a black steering wheel which has a gold plated logo of the company and high quality plastics have been used which provide the cabin a tremendous look. It also got many chrome inserts. It has an enhanced audio unit with bluetooth connectivity. Coming to the engines, a 1.3-litre SMARTECH diesel engine has been offered with the Chevrolet Sail Car that generates the maximum power of 76.5bhp and the torque with the power of 205N. It also has a 1.2-litre petrol engine varaint with the five speed manual transmission gearbox. The car will compete with  Mahindra Verito, Ford Classicand Toyota Etios in the entry level segment. The diesel trim delivers an average of 19.0 kmpl in urban area and 22.1 kmpl on highway whereas the petrol trim delivers an average of 16.0 kmpl in urban areas and 18.2 kmpl on highway.

Acceleration & Pick-Up: 

The diesel engine has five speed transmission gearboxes which provides the top speed of 150 to 155 Kmph and takes it to 100 KMPH in just 11.9. While the petrol engine with the five speeds manual transmission gear box has the ability to move the car 100 Kmph in just 12.9 seconds. 

Interiors & Exteriors: 

The most important changes have been made with its interior as it is finished with a black color scheme. Chevrolet Sail Car has a stylish newly designed steering wheel decorated with a gold plated logo of the company. The seats are more comfortable and supportive and the fist and the mid seating are provide fabric upholstery while the first and last seating are leatherette upholstery High quality plastics have been used in interior and it has an improved audio unit. It also got some utility features like  front door map pockets, several storage spaces, cup holders, a high volume glove box and illuminated instrument panel which is fixed up some amazing features like driver seat belt reminder notification, a digital clock, average fuel consumption, low fuel warning light, door ajar warning, multi-tripmeter and average fuel consumption. It also got day and night internal rear view mirror, electrically adjustable external rear view mirrors, sun visors with vanity mirror and remote fuel lid opener.

Coming to the exterior part, the front fascia which has a port radiator grille with matte black perforated mesh is decorated with a gold plated company's logo in the central. The bumper is in body colored and it has a big prick air dam in the center. The fog lamps sourrounds are fitted with the chrome in its top end trim. A strong laminated glass has been used in the front windscreen which is fixed up with the intermittent wipers. It has 12-spoke styled alloy wheels whereas other trims have steel wheels. The rims are covered with tubeless radial tyres which provide a good performance. It also has a door handles which is in body colored as well as the outside rear view mirrors. 

Handling and Breaking: The New Chevrolet Sail is integrated with the amazing braking system. The front and the rear wheels are equipped with sturdy disc brakes and drum brakes respectively. It also got an anti-lock braking system with an electronic brake force distribution to providing safety and the car will be in the control of the driver. This sedan got a power assisted steering system which has a tilt adjustment feature.
