One more important factor which has played an important role in the shift towards diesel vehicles, is hike in the fuel price. Moving ahead, the level of emission generated by the diesel vehicles in less than petrol vehicles, thus, it can be said that vehicles empowered with diesel engine are eco-friendly and do less harm to the environment.

The only drawback of the diesel cars is their power generation efficiency, which is quite less than petrol vehicles. Therefore, keeping the above mentioned features in concern it can be said that with changing methods of car manufacturing, a day is not very far when maintenance of diesel cars will more economical than petrol cars. The only reason which could impact the choice of buyers can be their high price, which could effect the buying preferences of the Indian buyers.
